Third molars are commonly referred to as wisdom teeth. They are usually the last teeth to develop and are located in the back of your mouth, behind your second molars. Their development is usually completed between the middle teenage years and early twenties, a time traditionally associated with the onset of maturity and the attainment of wisdom.
Using the most recent advances in dental implant technology, Dr. Weaver, Dr. McFadden and Dr. Betz are able to place single stage implants. These implants do not require a second procedure to uncover them, but do require a minimum of six weeks of healing time before artificial teeth are placed. There are even situations where the implant can be placed at the same time as the tooth extraction – further minimizing your number of surgical procedures.
Dr. Weaver is a 1981 graduate of the University of Texas Dental School. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Detroit Macomb Hospital.
Dr. McFadden is a 1998 graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at St. John Macomb Hospital.
Dr. Betz spent his childhood and grew up in Portage, MI.
